The
Odd Fellow Hall located at 7th St. & Market
St., 21 years before the Great San Francisco
earthquake of 1906. This was not the first Odd
Fellow Hall in San Francisco. The original Hall
was situated in the Financial District area.

This
is a view of the Odd Fellow Hall just one day after
the 1906 earthquake. Only
a short section of the exterior facade is visible.
The interior walls are primarily what remains
of this grand structure. What the earthquake did not do to the building was
initially destroyed by dynamite, to stop the out of control fire from spreading West and South.

The
Odd Fellow Hall was rebuilt at the same location
after the earthquake . This is the view of the
new building in 1914. Five years after completion
and eight years after the 1906 earthquake had
devastated one of the most architecturally ornate
buildings in San Francisco history.

The
Odd Fellow Hall as it looks today at 7th St.
& Market St., 95 years after it was rebuilt.
Very little has change in the exterior facade
except for the ground floor commercial storefronts.
All of the building's architectural elements
are still intact and unchanged. Currently, we
are undergoing major upgrades to the building.
Which includes the Life Safety system, which
encompasses a fire sprinkler and fire alarm
system; electrical and plumbing upgrades; interior
painting and in the near future, repair and
replacements of the exterior window units. This
building has a proud history in San Francisco
and the promotion of Odd Fellowship in the world.
